Lesson Content:

1. Meaning of Basic Science

Basic Science is the foundation of all science subjects. It is the study of nature, living things, non-living things, and how things work in our environment.

Basic Science helps students understand the world around them and prepares them for subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in higher classes.

2. Meaning of Science

Science is a systematic way of studying and understanding the natural world through observation, experimentation, and reasoning.

Science helps us to:

  • Solve problems
  • Improve human life

3. Branches of Science

Basic Science covers three major branches:

(a) Biology

This is the study of living things such as plants and animals.
