Introduction
Sound is an important form of energy that enables communication among humans and animals. We hear sounds from people talking, musical instruments, radio sets, and many other sources.
Sound is produced when objects vibrate. These vibrations travel through a medium such as air, water, or solids to the ears where they are heard.
Meaning of Sound Energy
Sound energy is a form of energy produced by vibrating objects and transmitted through a material medium.
Production of Sound
Sound is produced when an object vibrates.
A vibrating object moves to and fro rapidly and causes surrounding particles to vibrate.
