Introduction
Electricity is one of the most important forms of energy in modern life. It powers lights, fans, televisions, radios, and many other appliances.
Without electricity, many activities in homes, schools, and industries would not function properly.
Electricity flows through a complete path called an electric circuit.
Meaning of Electricity
Electricity is a form of energy caused by the movement of electric charges (electrons).
It can be used to produce light, heat, sound, and mechanical energy.
Sources of Electricity
Electricity can be obtained from:
- Dry cells (batteries)
- Generators
- Hydroelectric power stations
- Solar panels
- Power grids
Electric Current
Electric current is the flow of electric charges through a conductor.
It is measured in amperes (A).
Electric Circuit
An electric circuit is a complete path through which electric current flows.

Types of Electric Circuits
1. Open Circuit
