Introduction

The environment is everything that surrounds living things, including air, water, land, plants, and animals.

When the environment becomes dirty or unsafe due to harmful substances, it is called pollution.

Pollution is a major problem affecting human health, animals, plants, and the Earth as a whole.

Meaning of Environmental Pollution

Environmental pollution is the introduction of harmful substances or contaminants into the environment, making it unsafe for living things.

Types of Environmental Pollution

There are four major types of pollution:

  1. Air pollution
  2. Water pollution
  3. Land (soil) pollution
  4. Noise pollution

1. Air Pollution

Air pollution occurs when harmful substances are released into the air.
